Elvira Lindo nos acerca al absurdo de la situación de una pareja entregada al ostracismo de su relación, en la que Lupe, el personaje femenino, se ilusiona ante la aparición de un vecino cuya indómita vida hace volar su capacidad de imaginar y de volver a vivir. Podríamos decir que Lupe se interna en un antagonismo de 'Alicia en el país de las maravillas' viviendo la fábula de 'Lupe en el país de las pesadillas', en el que los personajes masculinos residen, igual que lo hacen en el cuento de Alicia, el sombrerero loco o el gato de Cheshire.

Así pues, el público asistirá a la visualización de un cuento para adultos en clave de comedia, fruto de la imaginación de la lectora-narradora, Vir, que hará de conductora en un viaje por ese país de maravillas absurdas.
