Drama lírico en tres actos con música de Tomás Bretón y libreto de José Feliú y Codina que se estrenó en el Teatro de la Zarzuela el 16 de marzo de 1895. Esta producción nueva que conmemora el centenario del fallecimiento de Bretón cuenta con la dirección musical de Óliver Díaz y de escena de Amelia Ochendiano, y la participación de Mónica Conesa como Dólores, Jorge de León (Lázaro), Àngel Òdena (Melchor), María Heres (Gaspara), David Menéndez (sargento Rojas), Juan de Dios Mateos (Celemín), Gerardo Bullón (Patricio) y Juan Noval-Moro (cantador de coplas).

Colaboran Oviedo Filarmonía y la Capilla Polifónica Ciudad de Oviedo.
