Dominik, un adolescente humillado por sus compañeros de instituto, solo encuentra refugio en su ordenador. Así, navegará hasta la misteriosa 'habitación del suicidio', un mundo virtual donde conoce a la fascinante Sylwia, una joven con la que iniciará una apasionada relación que no precisa del contacto físico.


La ópera prima de Jan Komasa -uno de los nuevos talentos del cine polaco- se adentra en ese confuso territorio en que la fantasía y la imaginación humanas se materializan gracias al desarrollo científico. En definitiva, las criaturas virtuales que adquieren una existencia propia, hasta convertirse en sustitutos de la propia realidad, no son sino el último eslabón de esa cadena que se inició con la criatura de Frankenstein: el hombre tratando de perfeccionarse a través de seres artificiales, en busca siempre de una inaprensible felicidad.
