'La ciudad sitiada' fue escrita por la dramaturga, directora y fundadora de la compañía Micomicón, Laila Ripoll, y estrenada en 1999 en la Sala Cuarta Pared de Madrid bajo la dirección de la propia autora. Fue una obra que gozó de un importante reconocimiento, tanto a nivel de público como de la crítica teatral.

Bajo la firma y el sello inconfundible de los textos y direcciones de Ripoll, se conjuga un universo del horror y del humor negro que saca a la luz algunos de los aspectos más oscuros de la historia del ser humano, pero también habla de esperanza, de superación, de amor incondicional y de belleza en medio del dolor. Esta combinación extraordinaria de claroscuros es lo que nos ha impulsado a elegir esta obra como broche final a la trayectoria de cuatro años de formación de nuestros alumnos.
