'Cantando flojito My Funny Valentine desde debajo de un piano de pared hace años en Gràcia mientras tú lo tocabas (yo te lo cantaba en secreto pensando que no me escuchabas) empezó esta música nuestra que hasta hoy nadie ha escuchado, las ganas de cantarte. Hasta ahora no sabía que me habías escuchado, no sabía que sabías este secreto. Siento que me has esperado, que sabes guardar muy bien un secreto'. Así describe Sílvia Pérez Cruz el germen de este encuentro con el pianista Marco Mezquida que hoy cristaliza. Se hace realidad sin muchas más premisas que la admiración mutua y las ganas de tocar juntos, de salir a 'bailar'.


Ambos artistas lideran varios proyectos propios y transitan múltiples sendas creativas que van más allá de la música. Y los dos sentían que era el momento de poner en común una de esas búsquedas, uno de esos caminos. De manera totalmente orgánica y sin más pretensión que la de descubrirse en las canciones y charlar a través de ellas de un momento artístico y vital. Canciones propias, canciones populares, canciones de otros… las canciones como excusa para viajar juntos y disfrutar el paisaje, el aquí y el ahora. Sin principio concreto ni final estudiado.
