Pianista, compositor, arreglista y director musical para artistas como Phoenix o Sebastien Tellier, el carismático Chassol crea piezas artísticas inclasificables. Sus composiciones articulan voces, música, sonidos e imágenes y las convierten en objetos visuales totalmente nuevos. En marzo de 2014, Christophe Chassol viajó hacia Martinica, el lugar de nacimiento de su familia. Mano a mano con la mezcladora Marie-France Barrier y el ingeniero de sonido Johann Levasseur, filmaron y grabaron una infinidad de encuentros extraordinarios, escenas del día a día, carnavales… que desembocaron un documental altamente evocador que se convirtió en la matriz de Big Sun, su deslumbrante tercer álbum.
