La directora francesa Elsa Amiel elige el poco frecuente universo del culturismo femenino para contarnos, en su ópera prima como realizadora de largometraje, una conmovedora historia acerca de la maternidad. En este peculiar universo, que puede resultar a veces perturbador, nos encontramos a la protagonista a punto de competir en un relevante certamen internacional. Para lograr conquistar el título de campeona se somete a una férrea disciplina y a una dieta muy estricta, siempre bajo la supervisión de su entrenador.

En este momento tan decisivo entra en escena un inesperado invitado, su hijo, al que lleva tiempo sin ver. En este momento, comienzan a asaltarle las sombras del pasado y también ciertas dudas existenciales.
