Considerado uno de los mayores expertos en el repertorio español, Luis Fernando Pérez trae a la temporada de la Sociedad Filarmónica de Gijón su particular interpretación de 'Iberia' de Isaac Albéniz, cuya excepcional grabación para el sello Verso le valió en 2008 el reconocimiento con la prestigiosa Medalla Albéniz. Compuesta entre 1906 y 1908, con cuatro cuadernos de tres piezas cada uno, es probablemente la obra para piano más importante de la música española y el madrileño va a interpretarla en este concierto en su orden original.
