La conferencia a cargo de Cinzia Cortese, guía acreditada de las ciudades de Roma, Pompeya y Nápoles, se centrará en las excavaciones realizadas bajo la actual basílica de San Pedro (Roma), iniciadas en 1949. Viaje subterráneo a las profundidades de sus cimientos para descubrir una increíble y bien conservada necrópolis romana. Bajo el altar papal, se encontraron restos humanos, una tela con hilos de oro y la inscripción Petro Eni («Pedro está aquí», en griego), datada en el año 160. Un enterramiento identificado como el del apóstol San Pedro.
