Erlend Oye es uno de los componentes del archiconocido dúo noruego de indie-folk Kings of Convenience, icono del denominado New Acoustic Movement.
Tres discos de estudio que conectaron a Simon & Garfunkel con Belle & Sebastian desde su intersección más tranquila, que ascendían a la parte media alta de algunas listas y triunfaban como espejo de cierta facción del indie sutil y sucinto.

En paralelo Erlend puso en marcha The Whitest Boy Alive, un cuarteto más enfocado hacia su querencia por la electrónica. Pero desde 2012 su principal interés musical radica en su proyecto con la formación La Comitiva, conformada por músicos originarios de su actual isla de residencia, Siracusa. Bebiendo de ritmos tradicionales locales mezclados con otros sudamericanos, testada, rodada y aprobada con varios tours por Lationamérica y Europa.
