El Ensemble 4.70 nos propone en esta ocasión un concierto multimedia en directo para cuarteto de cuerda, música electrónica y proyecciones panorámicas, basado en la idea de 'sonificación de la imagen'. Gints Sapietis (violín), Marina Gurdzhiya (violín), David Roldán (viola) y Marta Martínez Gil (violonchelo) interpretan en directo una serie de partituras gráficas de Santiago Vilanova que a su vez construyen la escenografía visual, ofreciendo al público la experiencia de poder anticiparse "a la música que vendrá".

Estas partituras gráficas, junto con los espectrogramas que construyen la capa de música electrónica de la pieza, se han creado mediante herramientas de software desarrolladas por el compositor. El resultado es una actuación única que combina música, ciencia, arte y tecnología.

El concierto, que forma parte de la temporada de la Sociedad Filarmónica de Gijón, se completa con el 'Cuarteto de cuerda n.º 8 en do menor', op. 110 de Shostakóvich.
