La muestra, encuadrada en el programa de actividades de conmemoración de los 1.300 años de la batalla de Cuadonga/Covadonga que programa la Consejería de Cultura, Política Llingüística y Turismo, y organizada desde la Biblioteca de Asturias 'Ramón Pérez de Ayala', tiene como ojetivo exponer una selección representativa de la producción historiográfica y literaria impresa sobre la batalla de Cuadonga/Covadonga desde el siglo XVI a nuestros días. Van a presentarse, por lo tanto, las obras más relevantes de historia y creación literaria que, o bien tuvieron como objeto específicu el hecho de Cuadonga/Covadonga o lo incluyen como elemento destacado de nuestra historia.
