Nueva sala permanente en el Muséu de la Gaita dedicada a los instrumentos musicales mecánicos y a los reproductores sonoros que, desde el último cuarto del siglo XIX, fueron incorporándose a la sociedad asturiana, ejerciendo gran influencia sobre la música popular del momento y trayendo nuevos géneros bailables y cantables que los músicos tradicionales fueron incorporando a sus repertorios. Esta nueva sala viene a completar la visión de la música popular asturiana que el museo ofrece al público, anteriormente centrada en instrumentos de producción artesanal, para incorporar la sonoridad de la era de la industrialización.
