La donostiarra Elena Setién volvió a su ciudad natal en verano de 2015. Hasta entonces, tenía ya recorrida una importante trayectoria musical en Dinamarca donde formaba parte del colectivo discográfico ILK. Su labor allí le trajo cuatro nominaciones a los Grammies daneses del jazz y un galardón del ministerio de las artes danesas.


En noviembre de 2016 edito su sexto trabajo, segundo en solitario. El disco, Dreaming of Earthly Things, fue publicado por la discográfica Enja/Yellowbird y recibió un Premio Vasco de la Música (Musika Bulegoa Sariak) en noviembre de 2017.
Su nuevo trabajo Another Kind of Revolution salió en febrero de 2019 con el prestigioso sello estadounidense Thrill Jokey.
