Contrapunctus es un homenaje al violín y una nueva forma de ver la música y la idea tradicional del concierto. Contrapunctus se ha realizado en lugares que van de salas de conciertos a centrales eléctricas abandonadas en Berlín, salones privados en el centro de París, palacios del siglo XVI en Barcelona, castillos en Croacia, buques de guerra abandonados en los muelles del Puerto de Amsterdam o clubes nocturnos en Madrid. Es más que un programa de música, es un concepto de sonido que ha llevado al violinista Jorge Jiménez a realizar este exigente programa de violín solo no acompañado por toda Europa, Turquía y América del Sur.


Jorge Jiménez es conocido por su enfoque profundo y emocionante y su respeto por la interpretación de la música en el estilo y en los instrumentos correspondientes, desde el medievo hasta el siglo XXI. Como concertino y director, Jorge aparece habitualmente en orquestas del calibre de la The Hanover Band, la OSPA o la belga Philharmonic Orkest van de Vlaamse Opera.
