La fuerza interior abrasadora de una mujer libre, valiente y sensual, contra el amor obsesivo de un soldado leal, obediente y sincero, arrastra a los protagonistas de esta obra maestra de G. Bizet al deterioro total, la violencia y la muerte. Dos destinos paralelos que se mueven en direcciones opuestas y que chocan desembocando en un trágico final.

Carmen, estrenada en la Opéra-Comique de París en 1875, es la ópera más conocida del repertorio francés y una de las obras maestras del teatro cantado de todos los tiempos. Su música nos sumerge en un mundo lleno de pasión con un lenguaje exquisito, lleno de genialidad y belleza.
