Producida por Vaivén Producciones en colaboración con Donostia 2016 y la ayuda del Gobierno Vasco, la obra narra la heroica y trágica historia de Janusz Kòrczak, doctor y pedagogo judío que regentaba un orfanato con 200 niños en el gueto de Varsovia. Antes de que el 5 de agosto de 1942 los nazis les montaran en un tren rumbo al campo de exterminio de Treblinka, el maestro fundó en el hospicio 'una verdadera república infantil': junto a los niños, creó una constitución con sus leyes, reglamentos y también un código penal.


Vaivén Producciones recrea el orfanato que Janusz Korczak dirigía en el gueto de Varsovia, generando así una experiencia que supera los límites del teatro.
