En esta comedia familiar un veterano matrimonio que lleva una apacible vida, algo monótona y rutinaria, nos sirve de guía para conocer a sus hijos y las diferentes peripecias de cada uno. Tarek, que se mantiene soltero pese a las reticencias familiares, su hermana que está a punto de ser madre y está casada con un mecánico que aspira a ser actor, y el hijo mayor que vive en Suecia y espera la visita de sus padres. El matrimonio no está muy por la labor de viajar tan lejos ni de dejarse complicar por los problemas de sus hijos. Con un tono desenfadado y aparentemente ligero, la historia nos lleva a reflexionar sobre los límites y las fronteras, ya sean físicas o culturales, mentales o administrativas. La directora Maha Haj se inspiró en su propia experiencia como palestina residente en Israel a la hora de escribir esta película.
