Abu Shadi, de 60 años, vive en Nazareth, y es padre divorciado y profesor de escuela. Su hija se va a casar y Abu tiene que vivir solo hasta que su hijo, un arquitecto que vive en Roma desde hace muchos años, llegue para ayudarlo con la preparación de la boda. Como exige la tradición palestina local, tienen que entregar la invitación a cada invitado personalmente. Mientras padre e hijo, apenas unos desconocidos, pasan unos días juntos, su frágil relación se verá puesta a prueba.
