Una película sobre la familia, la armonía y algo más difícil todavía: la fe. Conceptos más o menos básicos desde los que intentar explicar algo tan profundo como inefable: las hermanas del director se convierten de repente al catolicismo, y el cineasta trata de averiguar qué hay detrás de ese mecanismo de transformación personal. Desmontando el formato clásico del documental de entrevistas (no hay que olvidar el doble juego del título; 'converso' viene también del verbo conversar), el director se sienta en una silla que convierte en confesionario de los otros y en el suyo propio al lanzar preguntas ante un espejo que no es otro que el espejo de casa.
