La vida de un pueblo coreano se ve trastornada por una serie de asesinatos salvajes y misteriosos. Los rumores y las supersticiones se propagan a causa de la presencia, desde hace poco tiempo, de un anciano extranjero que vive como un ermitaño. Ante la incompetencia de la policía para encontrar al asesino y sin tener una explicación racional, algunos habitantes del pueblo buscan a un chamán. Jong-gu, un policía cuya familia está directamente amenazada, también cree que se trata de crímenes sobrenaturales.


Mezcla de una trama impredecible con imágenes apabullantes, creando una tensión brutal para el espectador. Una de las películas más vistas de 2016 en Corea del Sur.
