Sipnosis: Siegfried, criado en el bosque por el herrero nibelungo Mime con el propósito de utilizarlo para recuperar el tesoro de los nibelungos custodiado por el dragón Fafner, lucha contra las imposiciones de los dioses, en un universo donde hay que renunciar al amor para alcanzar el poder y en un contexto donde la Naturaleza herida es un personaje más y la corrupción el enemigo a vencer. Siegfried, el hijo de los bosques, encarna al nuevo héroe que debe salvar el mundo corrompido por el poder del Anillo.


Esta obra es el tercer título de la tetralogía El anillo del Nibelungo de Richard Wagner.
