Procedentes de Nashville, una ciudad que es reconocida en todo el mundo por ser marca de la música country, la formación Derobert and The Half-Truths ha roto los encasillamientos con su sonido soul y smooth funk.


El cantante DeRobert Adams es una de las voces fenómeno de la banda. Pasó la mayor parte de su juventud entrenando su talento y sus habilidades natas, hasta que se trasladó a Murfreesboro, Tennessee, con 19 años. Allí entró en la Universidad Estatal de Middle Tennessee donde conoció a Nick DeVan y a David Singleton, con quien posteriormente fundaría su sello discográfico: G.E.D. Soul Records.
