Al investigar una guerra de bandas en Ciudad del Cabo, el policía local Sizwe descubre un caso de corrupción policial. Su jefe y mentor, Venske, le asigna el caso pero le asigna un compañero, Legama, para mantenerlo informado. Sizwe descubre que el homicidio está ligado al contrabando de orejas de mar por la mafia china y gracias a un soplo realiza una importante redada. En cuestión de horas, todo el alijo ha desaparecido. Aunque lo ascienden a detective, se trata de un triunfo amargo; se la están jugando y lo sabe. En un mundo donde el egoísmo y la corrupción reinan sobre la lealtad y al honor, Sizwe no tiene en quien confiar. Su integridad le obliga a tomarse la justicia por su mano.
