Música Ortodoxa de la Catedral de San Basilio, Moscú



La agrupación vocal masculina Doros se fundó en 2002 y se dedica a interpretar música sacra, canciones populares y canciones de amor de la tradición rusa. Oficialmente son trabajadores del Museo Estatal de Historia, lo que les permite interpretar música en la Catedral de San Basilio, ambos edificios situados en la Plaza Roja de Moscú. Todos los cantantes de la agrupación tienen titulaciones superiores en música y se dedican profesionalmente a ella. Normalmente la agrupacion canta cada día en la Catedral de Moscú pero también han tenido la oportunidad de interpretar obras de manera regular desde el año 2005 en Albi (Francia) y desde 2009 en la Basílica Saint-Nazaire de Carcassonne (Francia).
Han dado más de 350 conciertos por Francia, Países Bajos y Alemania. Entre los conciertos más sonados se encuentra el de Stuttgart, en Alemania, y diversos conciertos por Francia. Han grabado y publicado 7 discos y un DVD y tienen proyectos para futuras grabaciones. En 2015 fueron parte de los ensayos y conciertos del proyecto internacional de música sacra "Sacred Imaginations" en las ciudades de Tesalónica, Londres, París y Berlín. Doros hace todo lo posible por conservar las tradiciones originales del canto vocal masculino ruso sacro y laico. Trabajan día a día por ampliar sus horizontes y mostrar el arte ruso del canto por todo el mundo. Durante todos estos años han estado interpretando música rusa para conservarla, volver a hacerla popular entre la gente y darle el valor que se merece.
