Ramón Masats (Caldes de Montbui, 1931) ye'l testigu esceicional de la España de los años cincuenta y sesenta. Autodidacta, treslládase a Madrid con 26 años y empieza a trabayar pa revistes faciendo toda triba de reportaxes al tiempu que desarrolla la so obra personal tomando dalgunes de les sos imáxenes más famoses.

La filmación de 'Viridiana' anicióse nos estudios CEA de Madrid el 4 de febreru del 1961. Delles selmanes depués, pasaos los díes más fríos del iviernu, mientres el mes de marzu, dio comienzu'l trabayu n'esteriores. Foi per entós cuando Masats infiltróse nel rodaxe xunto a los hermanos Saura. Sólo tuvo un par de díes, pero diben ser suficientes porque decidió non fotografiar la película, sinón centrase en Buñuel n'aición, dando instrucciones a los distintos miembros del equipu téunicu, descansando o pensando en soledá.
