L'interés sobre un estrañu heriedu -una antigua plomada de pesca que perteneció al so güelu inmigrante español- ye lo qu'impulsa al narrador ficticiu d'esti documental a viaxar dende la so casa de Nueva York a les cais de Tampa, Florida. Mientres unos díes, gracies al increíble elencu de tampeños qu'ellí atopa, el narrador va vese somorguiáu nun mundu que ta a puntu de sumir.

Va años que'l cineasta asturianu Luis Argeo recueye nel so trabayu les buelgues de la emigración española y asturiana n'Estaos Xuníos. Argeo estrenó en 2006 la so primer película, AsturianUS a la que siguió Corsino, by Cole Kivlin en 2010. Al pie de James D. Fernández lidera'l proyectu archivísticu documental Nin flaires nin conquistadores: Spanish Inmigrants in the US.
