Acid Mothers Temple ye una banda xaponesa de rock sicodélicu y rock espacial fundada en 1995 pol guitarrista Kawabata Makoto, líder del grupu. La banda tuvo delles formaciones. Les sos composiciones suelen ser estenses, con llargos pasaxes improvisaos y dinámiques variaes, que puedan pasar d'una melodía acid folk a secciones de rock acedu con guitarres fuertes y sintetizadores, reminiscentes de Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa y Gong, o pasaxes de rock espacial.
