Dos de los máximos exponentes del cine asturiano de autor se unen en Laboral Cinemateca para ofrecer una sesión especial que apela a nuestra historia, a los serpenteantes caminos de nuestra memoria, reviviéndola a través de sus obras más recientes: 'Contracampos' de Ramón Lluís Bande (Gijón/Xixón, 1972) e 'Hilos' de Tito Montero (Oviedo/Uviéu, 1978), cuyos estrenos absolutos tuvieron lugar la pasada edición del Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón/Xixón.

'Contracampos'

Contracampos es el intento de (re)construir un paisaje. Un área recreativa y un campo de tiro, a la orilla del mar Cantábrico, que entre 1937 y 1943 albergaron un campo de concentración del franquismo por el que pasaron miles de republicanos –milicianos primero, guerrilleros, y sus familiares más tarde–. Compartiendo con el espectador una observación pausada, la película pretende resignificar ese espacio, devolverle su significado político. Pero no se trata de mostrar –de filmar– lo invisible, sino de hacer ver en lo que hoy existe aquello que falta. Lo que estuvo y ya no está, ni siquiera en el recuerdo de la gente.

'Hilos'

Durante el primer verano de la pandemia, Tito Montero llevó en la mano una cámara recién comprada. Fue la primera ocasión en la que alguien grabó a su familia. Ocho décadas antes, el 1 de agosto de 1937, Felipe García Moro murió en la Batalla del Cimeru. No existen imágenes suyas. La generación del primer archivo audiovisual familiar coincidió con la búsqueda de algún rastro de la vida de un abuelo que, hasta entonces, nunca existió. ¿Influye la condición de clase en la memoria? ¿A qué tipo de personas puede borrarse de la Historia?
