Daniel Álvarez Fervienza (1857–1951) ejerció su labor como maestro en la zona de Llanes, abriendo en la década de 1880 un establecimiento fotográfico como medio de vida. Lo contrataron para documentar todo el proceso de construcción de la basílica de Cuadonga/Covadonga, por lo que dedicó bien de fotos al lugar. Algunas vamos a poder verlas en esta exposición comisariada por Antonio Diego, poosedor de la colección del autor.
