ELEKTRA nos habla de la necesidad de venganza de la protagonista por la muerte de su padre a manos de su madre. Pero Elektra es mujer y no puede vengarse. Tendrá que su hermano Orestes, desterrado, el que la lleve a cabo. Su llegada va a cambiar toda la situación y así, la venganza, con la muerte de su madre Clitemnestra y su nuevo marido Egisto, traerá la felicidad de Elektra, que ve así reparado el asesinato de su padre.
